For now, the area of our planned garden is only a part of the city park. Children and caretakers began to come here to roast marshmallows. Overtime they built their own firepit and seating and began to take care of the area. With your contribution, this space can turn into a real community garden that will serve everyone. Please help! You can contribute financially, or bring old bricks and other building materials to use to make raised beds and such. Thanks to your generosity, the children will harvest their own strawberries for the first time this year!
We look forward to meeting you at one of the garden parties as soon as the pandemic allows. If you would like to see its progress, you can follow us on our Facebook page: The DivyZná Garden
What we have achieved so far…
We received a grant from the “Dokazeme Vic” and we will gradually use the funds to obtain a water supply connection, purchase tools, a pile of play sand, the first seedlings and fencing for the flower beds, so the deer and wild boar do not eat everything. We have also received support from the Krasna Lipa town hall and are working together to clean up the land, acquire building materials, and prepare for planting.
We are currently trying to raise an additional CZK 60,000 which we plan to spend on the following:

We are currently trying to raise an additional CZK 60,000 which we plan to spend on the following:
- fencing 10,000 CZK
- gates 12,000 CZK
- edible shrub seedlings - CZK 300/piece, and fruit trees - CZK 2,000/piece, total CZK 14,000
- a tool shed CZK 17,000
- gabion cages for the sandpit 7,000 CZK
If we collect another CZK 10,000 on top of that, we will be able to buy composters. A further CZK 20,000 would get us a composting portable toilet.
Once we have collected the first CZK 20,000, the Česká Spořitelna Foundation will match this amount.
There is so much more to it!
We want to support the implementation and expansion of “Host Care”. Host Care is a pilot program where families spend regular time with an older child in foster care through visiting on weekends, holidays, or even just on afternoons. The DivyZná Garden would be a perfect place for the children to meet and get to know their Host Care family, and start growing their relationship.
