Make a donation to the climate strike! Because empty promises will not solve the energy or climate crises.

We are facing a harsh winter, with many people living in energy poverty, and we cannot afford to wait. Our leaders will soon travel to Egypt for the COP27 climate conference, where they will once again promise to address all crises. However, empty words will not solve either the energy or climate crises. We must begin combating the common culprit, which is fossil fuels. We must act immediately.

Instead of weaning ourselves off of fossil fuels and developing a self-sufficient energy sector, we are patting ourselves on the back abroad. Instead of assisting those affected by the energy and climate crises, we have empty speeches full of promises. We want to switch from Russian gas to another gas that does not provide security, sustainability, or independence.

We want no fossil fuels, insulated buildings, renewable energy, and assistance for those in need, because empty promises will not save people who are freezing.

We share our plight with people all over the world, and we will be joined by students from all over Eastern Europe for our four-day event in Prague on October 21-24, 2022. We must all work together to end our reliance on Russian gas and energy poverty.
