Yemen is facing one of the world’s biggest humanitarian crises, and it is children who are most affected by this crisis and who, among many other problems, suffer from enormous hunger. Families often do not know when or if they will even eat. Many of them thus survive on just one meal a day. Due to the lack of food, they rely on nutritionally imbalanced meals like bread soaked in sweetened tea. This situation has a devastating impact on the children of Yemen in many ways, which is why the help in the form of nutritious snacks at school is so important.

Please do not leave the girls at AI Furat School hungry – donate and change their lives!

Even a small donation can change lives. A mere five crowns will provide one girl with a snack for a whole day, a hundred crowns will provide snacks for a whole month. Please help provide snacks for girls in need.

When the girls at AI Furat School were asked to draw their biggest dreams, they wished for things we often take for granted – a home, school supplies, a birthday cake, an umbrella, or even a simple walk in the park with their family. While providing a snacks won’t solve all their problems, we believe it will at least make their lives a little easier and give them hope for a better future.

The project “Do škol bez hladu”, which started in October 2022 and is organized by Pomůžu jak můžu, provides snacks to over 500 girls from Al Furat school every school day. This allows them to have at least one meal a day and focus on their schoolwork. The snacks include bread, beans, tahini, eggs, cheese and other food depending on what is available at that time. Despite the seriousness of the situation, an effort is always made to provide varied and balanced meals to feed the girls.

Please help the organisation Pomůžu jak můžu continue this important mission. A mere one hundred crowns can provide snacks for one girl for a whole month. Your support will not only fill their hungry stomachs, but also help their education and healthy development. Donate and give these children a chance for a better future.

Doa is a fifth-grade student of one the few schools in war-affected Yemen. Doa, along with her five siblings, lives with her uncle. Her parents were killed in bomb attack and her youngest sister lost an eye in an airstrike. Despite all of the aforementioned circumstances, Doa still believes in establishing world peace and in achieving her dream of becoming a doctor. What is more, Doa remains hopeful despite the fact that 5 million children in Yemen are without access to any kind of education. Pomůžu jak můžu has been working in Yemen since 2018 and has been in charge of running a canteen for the poorest people, mostly women, and children. The organization also provides individuals in Yemen with a hot meal every day. Thanks to the donors, the organization can help even further as since the month of September the organization has also been providing snacks for the poorest girls at the Al´Furat school in Sanaa. We know the school, Dou, her classmates, and teachers personally. Join us and help Doa and the other 500 girls at Al´Furat School in Sanaa, Yemen by encouraging them not to give up on their dreams and their hope to attend a school where they won't starve and hopefully one day change the world they live in. A month´s worth of snacks for one schoolgirl costs just CZK 100.
Pomůžu jak můžu has been active in Sanaa, Yemen since 2018. Thanks to the help of
donors from the Czech Republic, it runs a public canteen where 166 of the poorest people,
mostly women and children, receive fresh and hot food on everyday basis. In such an
environment, Pomůžu jak můžu provides jobs for 5 people who can then take care of their
families with dignity and respect. The on-site project is managed by Sabina Addailami with
Czech-Yemeni roots. Administratively the aid is handled by the team in Ostrava in their
spare time, without any remuneration for the task they carry out on a regular basis. Apart
from struggling with food shortages and lack thereof, more than 5 million of Yemeni
children have no access to education (as of 2015). They have neither the means nor the
strength to go to school. However, if they do have the opportunity to go to school, they
are often at risk of fainting from hunger. To ensure that such conditions may change in the
future, in September, the organization implemented the system of providing snacks for
500 girls at the Furat public school in Sanaa.

The war in Yemen has been raging since 2015. According to the UN, it is the worlds worst humanitarian disaster since 1945. According to the international organization, 18 million people in Yemen are suffering from hunger. The brief ceasefire of the past six months and an attempt at peace collapsed again in September 2022.
