In order to maintain cognitive functions of the brain, it is necessary to constantly exercise and engage both the mind and the body, which is why we use daily activation at the Centre. Not only do they help the Center's clients fight their illness as easily as possible, but they also help them experience joy and a sense of belonging that is incredibly important.
Because what's better than a cake fresh out of the oven, or a plant that has grown back and has new fruit since last week, or laughing with others during a story that was created during drama therapy? It may be a small thing for the average working person, but for our clients it is pure joy that recharges them for the rest of the day.
Please help us to implement the most important activations for our clients:
Cognitive training
It is a daily brain training that exercises memory, speech, concentration and other cognitive functions. Mostly it involves puzzles, crosswords, crossword puzzles, contexts and many other exercises that encourage the brain to function properly and make it work.
Gardening
It has a positive effect on health and helps not only our clients to feel better, get rid of stress and anxiety. Growing, transplanting and caring for flowers is a very popular activity and a great way to relax.
Ergotherapy
Being able to be involved in the household, sometimes in seemingly small ways, helps the person with dementia experience a valuable sense of belonging, usefulness and normality. Our clients can take part in everyday activities that they have been used to all their lives, such as preparing meals, baking, folding laundry or even arranging flowers.
Dramatherapy
It is an art therapy that allows clients to express emotions through role-play and storytelling. We use a variety of texts, poems, puppets, pictures, etc. The exercises contribute to memory practice, reading comprehension and socialization of individuals in the group.
Art Therapy
Thanks to art therapy, clients can create, express and express even what they cannot express with words. We use a variety of art therapy techniques that reduce tension and promote personal self-expression. Another benefit is helping our clients to better know and understand what is important to them, what they feel and how they feel.
Through activation, we try to preserve the client's skills and abilities in a given period and help him in what he is still able to do on his own, which leads to his psychological and physical well-being.
On behalf of all our clients, thank you for your support of activation.
