The Alliance Prayer Week has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. During the time of the previous regime it was one of the few opportunities to meet for prayer across denominations. ATM is a prayer initiative that dates back to 1856 and was a hallmark of revival in the USA and the UK. Alliance Prayer Week is now one of the cornerstones of the CEA's work, and its content and spiritual significance are linked to its raison d'être. The CEA's aim is not only to organise a week of prayer, but also to make it the pinnacle of functioning organic cooperation and partnership between Christians at local and national levels.
