At ŽIVOT 90, we're on a mission to shine a light on the often-overlooked LGBTI+ older adults. Our goal? To bring their stories into the public eye and provide the support they desperately need. Through events, workshops, exhibitions, and Pride festival participation, we're making a real difference. This fundraiser is an opportunity to support this group of people who still remain invisible.

Love Blooms at Any Age... Including LGBTI+ Love 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨


At ŽIVOT 90, we're on a mission to shine a light on the often-overlooked LGBTI+ older adults. Our goal? To raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and most importantly, provide crucial support to this vibrant community.

We're committed to creating a world where LGBTI+ seniors can live authentically, without hiding their true selves. Our work spans from educating our staff to running specialized support groups tackling issues like loneliness - a significant challenge for many.

Many older LGBTI+ individuals grew up during times of oppression, often forced to live in secrecy. When they finally embraced their truth, some faced rejection from their closest circles. As one community member shared:

"The reactions were strange. I lost many people, especially from religious circles. Some stopped greeting me, pretending they didn't know me..."

💚 Learn from international organizations through exchange programs


Our Achievements So Far 👏


  • Since 2016, we have been participating in the Prague Pride festival and repeatedly contributing to the creation of the PRIDE LIFE program. 
  • We organized educational workshops for professionals in social services and a round table with representatives of senior organizations in the Czech Republic on the topic of care for older LGBTI+ people.
  • In 2020, we prepared a public exhibition of photographs of older LGBTI+ people accompanied by interviews with the protagonists, and thus brought the topic more into the media. The exhibition was awarded as the achievement of the year in the bePROUD awards. 
  • In 2021, we organized the exhibition "From Emperor to Comrade," which presented the life stories of 10 not only queer personalities of Czech history, historical milestones of LGBTI+ and emancipation in our country. 
  • Our care service was selected for the pilot project of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs: LGBTI+ friendly social service.
