Sambi, the shepherd mix, came in our care from his owners who weren't able to care of him anymore. At the time, Sambi wasn't walking on his hind legs. The examination at the vet discovered that he has very extensive dysplasia which we considered to be the origin of his problems – and which can be operated. But blood tests conducted later showed a much worse diagnosis – degenerative myelopathy.

It's a genetic disease that causes Sambi's body to become paralysed gradually and unfortunately, there's no cure for that. 😔 The best we can do for Sambi now is to give him loving care and enjoy together with him the time he has left.
