Xmas cookies (not only) for homeless people

It has already been a couple of years since we started making Christmas great again for those who have almost zero opportunity getting their own carp, potato salad and traditional cookies, mainly because they´ve got no kitchen to prepare it in, and often no home either. We have been baking cookies with love and care, as well as with our friends and volunteers. Then we pack the cookies along with some presents and send them to homeless people via street workers. We also hand them over to shelters for homeless, to day centers, to homes for the elderly and to single parents and people in difficult social situation.

1,500 portions of candy and about 200 gifts to people in need and in a socially disadvantaged situation. This was the result of last year's Xmas baking, which is a clear reason to continue this year!!

For this Christmas to be generous and sweet, approximately 15,000 CZK is enough. This amount should be enough to buy baking ingredients, necessary packaging materials and gifts for people in need. Our gifts should bring joy but we want them to be practical at the same time – warm gloves, cozy socks, good tea and coffee.

The collection is organized by Sociální perpetuum mobile and NGO Místní místním (Locals for locals).
Some of the Xmas cookies are prepared by our partner cafés from the solidary network of Místní místním, which support people in need and take part in the event. Local food bank should provide some ingredients, helping us cover part of the costs.
