The landscape no longer functions as it used to and needs to be actively helped. Not just for the animals and plants that live in it, but also for ourselves. Because without healthy nature, we humans cannot function in a healthy way either.
Recently, you may have noticed that a lot of attention has been paid to planting trees, but we, on the other hand, take care of nature so that it doesn't get overgrown. We create space for those who may not be so visible, but are so needed in our landscape. We already work across several states, caring for hundreds of hectares of nature's most precious pieces every year.
The flagship of our activities is the conservation of butterflies, as an important group of pollinators and ideal indicators of a healthy nature. The way butterflies respond quickly and sensitively to changes in their environment shows us the state of our environment and the sustainability of human activity in the landscape. When butterflies disappear from the landscape, it means it is not healthy.
We also focus on wetland conservation and restoration of ponds, care of sunny meadows and steppes, heathland and sandhills, etc.
We also like to talk to young and old about how it all works together in the natural world, and wide range of talks and volunteer events for school children, students and businesses are used to do just that. And to make sure that everyone can learn about the often tricky subject of nature conservation, we have set up the Helping Nature initiative.
