The witnesses of the watershed events, often silent and unobtrusive, are still among us and in their modesty are still waiting for the opportunity to speak. Some of them are unaware of the important messages they bring. We are not only listening to their stories and filming them, but also supplementing them with archival sources in order to better interpret the stories associated with Moravian-Silesian towns and villages. All this is further communicated not only to younger generations in schools, but also to the general public through exhibitions, documentaries and talks in cooperation with local media and authorities.
It is the existence of Memory of the Nation branches that allows us to film interviews with memorials in studios close to their homes.
We are committed not only to commemorating the experience of totalitarian regimes in the 20th and 21st centuries, but also to capturing important aspects of life in our region in the past. We would be grateful if you would join us in doing so. Become a donor and help us care for the Memory of Nations.
Thank you!
