Who am I?
My name is Nikol Lucie Sekulová and I have been serving in Skopje, North Macedonia for the past five years. When I was 20 years old, I answered God’s call to to come serve with non-Christian youth. The first 4 years I worked for a worldwide non-profit organization called Young Life and from the fall of 2021 I have been serving with my local church. I serve in a leadership team alongside my pastor and his wife. In 2018 I was part of the beginning of this new church plant.

At the moment I am focusing on more of a pastoral care role in the church. I meet regularly wit couple of people and pray with them. Once a month we also have prayer and worship gatherings which are open to anybody.

What do I do? 

I also serve in a humanitarian ministry called “Kairos”. Kairos is a ministry that provides material and financial help to those in need. At the moment there are 5 families we are taking care of per month. Once a month we organize breakfast in our local church for these people to come experience “church”. These breakfast times are open to anybody, but the goal is to be the bridge between church and people that would usually not go to church. I also serve in a preaching team and I regularly preach in my local church. I also help organize Alpha Courses which is “an evangelistic” tool of our local church. This is an opportunity to have conversations with people about God and explain the basics of Christianity.
And lastly, I co-lead a small group for young adults which gathers once a week.

Goals and hopes for 2023

◉ co-start a missional coffee shop in the city center - a place, where we’ll be able to meet new people and at the same time offer quality products (find out more here: https://www.darujme.cz/projekt/1206775 ) 

◉ partner with multiple churches to organize Alpha courses in a public café bar 

◉  disciple three people in our church more in depth 

Reaching this financial goal will allow Nikol to serve in Skopje another year and will help support her work in the local church Evangelska Crkva Aerodrom.
