Our region went through severe trials in the 20th century. We recall the stories of Jewish survivors, war veterans, pre-war natives and memorials whose lives were greatly affected by communist totalitarianism. We tell of the horrors of the Holocaust, expulsion from their native village, toil in labor camps, courage, undying hope and faith.

Memory of Nations has been active in the Karlovy Vary Region for over 10 years. In April 2022, an independent branch was established here. 

We organize exhibitions, cinema shows, meet with memorials and organize guided walks. 

We believe that telling the stories of our memorials is an inspiration and a lesson for all of us. Therefore, we will do everything we can to ensure that their testimonies are not forgotten and that their experience of totalitarian regimes continues to be remembered.
