Since 2011, we have been supporting Roma students on their journey to quality education. Adam dreams of studying film at university, Pavel hopes to attend police academy, and Vanessa is training to become a dental assistant. Despite their determination and efforts to succeed, they face numerous obstacles. Stereotypes from their surroundings tell them they can’t achieve anything, that there is no place for success in their lives. Financial barriers complicate not only their choice of school but also their attendance, significantly reducing their chances of success.

Due to these challenges, only one in five students at risk of social exclusion achieves higher education compared to their parents. And most of their parents have only completed primary school.

Richard is a university student who also inspires other students in primary and secondary schools to continue their education. “If I were to compare whether students at a mainstream school, where I was the only Roma student, are more intellectual than those at a segregated school with predominantly Roma students, I’d say they aren’t. The difference is that students in segregated schools don’t believe they can achieve anything. They lack positive role models around them.”

 • 74% of high school students in the program are enrolled in fields requiring a graduation diploma.

 • 100% of our graduating students successfully passed their final exams.

 • 93% of students continued their studies into the next year.

 • Cover transportation costs, tuition fees, or school lunches.

 • Pay for specialized school supplies, such as a hairdressing kit or medical gown.

 • Purchase laptops and other technology for students.
