Help Twinkle with her ear surgery!
Twinkle has been diagnosed with an ear polyp and she needs surgery as soon as possible 😞
Our adorable Momma Twinkle needs your help! Twinkle will soon require surgery, and we'd like to ask for your help to raise the funds for her treatment. Here is Twinkle's story:
Twinkle came to Cool Critters with her two ten-day-old kittens, Piccola (Little in Italian) and Star. Right away we noticed that her head tilted to one side and we decided to wait until the kittens were weaned to investigate.
Twinkle has since been diagnosed with an ear polyp and she needs surgery as soon as possible to repair it.
Normally ear infections are an easy problem to resolve. An ear polyp, unfortunately, is a more complicated problem to solve. An ear polyp is a variation of a tumor (abnormal cell growth). Ear polyps are an abnormal growth in the ear canal. The problem with ear polyps is that left untreated they can interfere with the workings of the inner ear (which we can see in Twinkle's head tilt), and that they can turn out to be cancerous. Thus, an untreated polyp can cause pain, chronic ear infections, and interference with hearing or balance. In the worst-case scenario of a cancerous tumor, it can spread to the rest of the body and be fatal.Â
Typically, the most effective treatment for pet ear polyps is surgical removal. This is where we need your help!
The cost of the surgery is estimated at 5000 CZK and we have a hard time finding the funds for these larger procedures while taking care of all the other critters as well.Â
Please could you help us to help Twinkle?Â
Thank you so much!Â

About us
Jaq’s Cool Critters was founded by Jaq, a British woman living in the Czech Republic, and a group of dedicated friends/volunteers of different nationalities. We are based in a countryside farmhouse, an hour north of Prague.
Sowing the seeds of love – It’s the most important thing a critter needs. Volunteers are welcome to come walk our dogs, play with our cats, help socialise, walk, clean, make improvements and share the love.
A Sanctuary is a place of refuge, a safe peaceful haven, free from all the dangers in the world.
Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.
Jaq has adopted many critters to loving families, which she keeps in contact with. Finding the connection, the first moment when people find their forever companion is what she lives for.
We rely solely on the generosity of the public and we aim to raise money for the care of our critters
