Bears, rain and mountains and a 900 km MTB race through Greece with 29000 m elevation gain

On Saturday 25.5.2024 the Hellenic Mountain Race through Greece will start, where the route is 900 km long (which is not much), but who knows what it means to climb 29.000 vertical meters on this distance, already knows that it will be really, really hard.
Besides my personal motivation, I want to support the DOMESTICI project and bring them closer to their dream of raising 10 million for palliative care. Become a Domestique too and come with me to raise 30 000 CZK.
Palliative care deals with how to leave with dignity, how not to fear death and how to cope with mortality. By doing so, people actually gain freedom and can live more fully. I define it a little bit in my own way, in terms of what actually describes why I'm even a little bit of a buddy with death and why it's good that we're not immortal.
I've done a lot in the last year:
2000 km Gravel race in Holland - 3rd place
One of the hardest bikepacking races, the Silk Road Mountain Race- 5th place
Then I helped and created the world's largest symbol at 2850 km.
The Atlas Mountin Race in Morocco, 1400 km long, didn't go so well - 13th place
Crossing Israel during the war and when Iran fired 300 rockets
Now I am standing at the start of one of the most prestigious MTB bikepacking races in the world again and we are going to the box and we are going to help ❤️
Now we're going to try something that doesn't get talked about much, and that's preparedness for DEATH. For some it's a scarecrow, for some it's a deliverance, for some it's the circle of life. For me, it's a little bit of everything, but I certainly don't want to go to my grave rusty, but rather pretty worn down by life, and that's probably why I'm doing all of this in the first place. That's why I'm doing what 99% of people can't even imagine, sleeping outdoors under a rescue bivvy, not sleeping for days at a time and pedaling my bike and testing what the human body can actually do. The main thing for me is that I do what I want and when it comes I won't regret that I had a dream and never actually tried to fulfill it. DOMESTIC is raising money for palliative care and the amount will be added directly to the main fundraiser and 100% of the donations go to the beneficiaries = three palliative care organizations.
In short, I want to go into that box one day ready to say "that was a fucking ride and it was fucking worth it".
And what do I want from you?
I'd like to motivate you a little bit to contribute something to that coffers for the guys who are doing something for others. As a second thing, while we're on the subject, I want to point out a little bit what there's not exactly time for in today's fast-paced life. It's about making time for yourself and doing everything you can so that when it comes, you can say it was worth it.

We will ride 5,000 kilometers on a bicycle from the west to the east coast of the USA to support the development of palliative care in the Czech Republic together. I have positioned myself at the center of a team of domestiques who share a common goal – to get the racer to the finish line in the best physical and mental condition possible. This task is similar to that of the relatives of the severely ill and dying – to accompany their loved ones to the end. Become one of the domestiques and join this incredible adventure of helping.

We will ride in a relay with Tomáš Navrátil in one of the toughest ultra-cycling races in the world: 5,000 kilometers in a mere 9-day limit. A race that cannot be managed without domestiques, those who help the racer reach the finish line. And it is these helpers, domestiques for palliative care, that I am looking for. Therefore, all your donations will be distributed for the direct support of palliative care in the Czech Republic. We will help a specific hospice, support the provision of mobile hospice care in regions, and invest in awareness, which is extremely important. I wish that together we ensure a quality and dignified life until the last moment for as many people as possible. Whether they are our loved ones or people we don't even know. Palliative care is not here to cure the patient at all costs, but to ensure that their departure is as they would have wished. I wish everyone such a departure.
