Help the people affected by the floods in 2024. Today I donated 5,000 CZK and if we together collect another 100,000 CZK, I will donate once more 5,000 CZK.
I donated 5000 CZK through the Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren today, to deal with the consequences of flooding and help people who are in need after the current floods. Maybe you've already donated too, which would be great! Or you are thinking about it, and then I have the opportunity for you to join my challenge - donate 1000 CZK and if we collect 100000 together, I will add another 5000 CZK. If you ask why I do it, it is because I believe that it makes sense to help each other.
Diakonie ČCE Středisko humanitární a rozvojové spolupráce
In September 2024, heavy rains across most of the Czech Republic have raised river levels to multi-year highs causing floods and following widespread damage of many towns. The Centre of Relief and Development Cooperation of Diaconia ECCB has therefore announced a collection to help people affected by the floods.
On Monday, 16th September our humanitarian team followed by the first group of volunteers went to Jeseník area in north Moravia where they are helping mainly in Česká Ves and Písečná.

Together with our volunteers and thanks to our donors we
  • monitor the extent of damage and needs in the affected households
  • provide psychosocial assistance and crisis intervention 
  • we can lend equipment such as dryers, power generators, pumps and small appliances
  • help to clean up flood damage
