We search for talents

Our aim is to support exceptionally talented players under 28 years of age. Each year we assemble an international team of tutors to work with the academy participants and motivate them to perform even better.

Each year, the Ševčík Academy brings together students from all over the world to build future professional relationships across continents.

We think of the youngest ones

We are the only academy in the Czech Republic that offers courses for the youngest musicians. Every day, young beginners can participate in team activities and develop their musical skills and imagination.

We care about the legacy

The Czech Republic has an enormous cultural wealth, but it needs to be systematically cared for. The work of Otakar Ševčík is one of the most respected in the world.

We spread  joy

Since 2018, we have been fine-tuning the festival programme that we offer to the audience in the lovely town of Horažďovice and its surroundings. We play in concert halls, in the cultural center, in all churches, in the castle, in the atrium, in the park, in the square... wherever music can attract listeners.

We represent

In 2024, the Ševčík Academy was invited to the prestigious Young Euro Classic festival in Berlin. Two orchestras will be performing - Ševčík Junior Orchestra a Ševčík Academy Orchestra.
