Anastasia’s War Zone Testimony: Help Finish Her Film
Anastasia "Stázka" Bonadyha spent 54 days in the war zone of Nikopol, a city near the Kakhovka Reservoir, shelled daily from a nearby nuclear power plant. Through Bohdan, a phone repairman and priest, she captured the reality of war and its timelessness in Nikopol. Now, she needs our help to complete her documentary and share the stories of everyday heroism amidst the horrors of war.
The film seeks to answer the question of why people choose to stay in their homes, even when each day could be their last. Anastasia chose Bohdan as the protagonist precisely because, despite the horrors he faces daily, he finds meaning and hope in his life. His story shows how humanity and a positive attitude can survive even in an apocalyptic environment—giving the film extraordinary depth and inspiration for all of us.
In the ruined landscape of Nikopol, Anastasia tells a story of survival and the indomitable will of its residents.
At Tvůrčí produkční skupina Remízek, we believe in the power of collective effort. We believe that stories like this deserve to be seen. That’s why we’ve decided to support our colleague and friend Stázka with this fundraiser so she can finish her documentary film. Without our help, it simply won’t be possible.
After successfully presenting a rough cut of her film at her university, Stázka is heading back to Ukraine for the final round of filming. However, we face uncertainty about securing the funds necessary to finalize the project, including developing and scanning the last Super8 film rolls, editing, and sound. By contributing to this campaign, you become part of the community that helped bring this film to life. Thanks to your support, this vital testimony from the war zone can reach everyday people like us.
Huge thanks to everyone who has already contributed—whether through ideas, lending equipment, or simply liking and sharing our posts. A special thanks to Vadim and Hanka for sending a Super8 camera to Ukraine.
Stázka is making this film as a student, without any pay, and with the support of Remízek. The funds raised will be used to cover essential production costs, such as developing and scanning film, trips to Ukraine, fuel, and more—all of which have so far been covered by friends and family. Your contributions will also help with the final editing and technical work required to complete the film. Thanks to this collective effort, the project is being produced at a relatively low cost for a film of this scale. And by supporting this project, you can be more than just a backer—you’ll also have your name in the film credits!

Every donation over 50 CZK guarantees your name in the credits—just include your name in the notes or send it to us privately!
The costs of the film have been covered mainly by Anastasia’s personal budget and support from family and friends, with partial help from the Remízek collective. By contributing to this fundraiser, you’ll give us the chance to become co-producers and help distribute the film through Tvůrčí produkční skupina Remízek. No one in our collective is taking a salary for this project—funds are only being used to cover essential expenses. By supporting this campaign, you’re helping us show that independent filmmaking can be funded, and you’re giving hope to creators like us.
Film Expenses:
Personally funded expenses: 74,174 CZK
Project expenses: 50,922 CZK
Co-production expenses: 31,000 CZK
TOTAL: 156,096 CZK
Any funds raised beyond the target amount will be used to cover further development, completion, and distribution of the film. By supporting this campaign, you’ll receive updates on the film’s progress, premieres, and screenings. Every contribution comes with a reward!
Thank you so much for your support!
With our deepest gratitude,
Kryštof and Stázka, members of TPS Remízek
