Thanks to your support, we can work together to rebuild kindergartens and primary schools in the most affected areas. Our goal is to get children back where they like it as soon as possible - in the safe environment of schools and nurseries - while enabling mothers who were also affected by the floods to return to work and fully participate in rebuilding their homes and communities.  

  

The first case in point is the kindergarten in the village of Široký Brod. Thanks to great efforts, it has been partially reopened and the children are temporarily housed on the first floor of the building. The electrical wiring has been restored and heating is provided by direct-fired boilers. However, the ground floor remains non-functional and the floor and other parts of the building need to be completely repaired in order to fully resume operations. Replacing the floor alone will cost more than 500,000 CZK.  

  

Help is on the way, but we need you too!  

  

CARE Czech Republic has already released CZK 100,000 from its emergency funds to help this kindergarten immediately. But in order to cover all the costs and help as many affected kindergartens and schools as possible, we need your support. Together, we can ensure that the children can return to their friends at the kindergarten and their parents can resume their work and support their families.
