After a year of escalated genocide in Gaza, the Israeli military has extended its aggression to Lebanon, while still relentlessly targeting Gaza, the West Bank, and other neighboring countries. In recent weeks, more than 2,000 people in Lebanon have been killed, nearly 10,000 injured, and over a million displaced. Entire towns in the south have been reduced to rubble, and destruction has spread to other regions. Evacuation orders have been issued for over 100 towns and cities, forcing one-fifth of the country’s population to leave their homes with an uncertain future ahead, as Israel plans a ground invasion, sparking fears of long-term occupation and colonization.
Lebanon, home to one of the longest continuously inhabited cities in the world, holds a deep-rooted connection between its people and their land, homes, and culture. The country’s rich history, and the resilience of its people, reflect the many civilizations that have shaped its culture and identity over the centuries. Today, this heritage is under attack. As Israel drops white phosphorus over Lebanon’s lands and forests, poisoning the soil, the destruction extends beyond the physical. At the same time, firefighters and aid workers, who risk their lives to care for the wounded and displaced, as well as journalists, are being deliberately targeted and killed, while also targeting vital infrastructure across the country.
Our goal is to raise funds to aid Lebanese individuals and families whose lives and homes are being affected daily by the ongoing situation. We invite you to join us in making a difference. No matter how small, every contribution can help provide essential support to those in need.
All proceeds from the Emergency Relief Fund will be distributed in collaboration with Lebanese cinematographer Zaher Jureidini and selected NGOs, to the trusted local sources providing direct support to people and families affected by the military actions in Lebanon.
🙏
Posielam pozitívnu energiu a vďaku za to, čo robíte.
