The year has come and gone, and 30 has knocked on the door!

The longer I am in this world, the stronger the gratitude I feel for what and who I have in my life. It's my wonderful family and friends (you! ♥️), but also seemingly obvious things like affordable healthcare, the ability to travel, and the freedom to make my own choices. As we know, not everyone is so lucky in life, and I consider it important not to be careless about that.

I don't desire material gifts; at the same time, I love birthdays, so I look forward to getting together - because time together is the most precious thing 🤗

The other thing that will make me happy is to contribute a little to make changes happen, and that's why you have come to this page:

Last year, I started working at the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Department of Caritas Czech Republic, and for the birthday challenge, I chose to support Caritas as a whole - the Dobročinní initiative:

"We are Dobročinní. We give back a piece of the good we have received in our lives. We give it back to those who were not so lucky and need help. Caritas Czech Republic has been taking care of such people professionally and lovingly for a hundred years, and that is why we trust it. From children's shelters to hospice care, from the elderly in solitary confinement to refugees hiding from the horrors of wars far across the border, it is admirable how wide the scope of its assistance is."

I joined Caritas Czech Republic last year, and I am very proud of it. I am surrounded by inspiring people who are driven by their love for people. The Caritas network helps both at home (it is the largest non-state provider of social and health services in the Czech Republic) and abroad (the second-largest Czech organization in the field of humanitarian aid and development cooperation). It consists of 274 Charities across the country and 7 branches abroad 🌍

Initially, I have set a goal of 30 000 CZK for the challenge, but then I went for a more realistic goal of 13 000 CZK. Will we make it?
